Naughty Business

Thought I'd have an early night tonight and then realised that I'd started a blog page and forgotten all about it by being so busy!  Imagine my surprise when I looked and saw that my one and only blog was published last May!  My god where has the time gone??  Well I've been so busy I suppose like everyone else that works and runs a home - we're all in the same boat -not enough hours in the day!

I've decided that I need a 36 hour day - 12 of those hours just to sleep please!  If only!!

Anyway, the reason for my blog and dragging the laptop into bed with me was to have an early night and a cheeky browse on the internet.  Being naturally curious (or nosy, call it what you want!) I thought I'd take a look at our local competition on their EBay page and website just to have a peek and see what they've been up to recently!

You can imagine my utter annoyance when I checked out their website and saw that they've completely plagiarised my website and more or less copied my content word for word.  Yes the air was blue!  Spitting feathers doesn't come even close.  Even their stock items are exactly the same as what we buy or have bought in the past - and we're pretty niche so its not a coincidence!  Secondhand Wonderland my arse more like CopyCat Get Your Own F**king Idea Land!

What can I say?  I'm now pacing the bedroom thinking of some crazy one upmanship idea to get over on them, all the while reasoning with myself to be the better person and rise above it all. So here it is:

In the meantime I'll stop spitting feathers and play Candy Crush for a bit before my eyelids close!

First Blog

Welcome to our first blog!

Our company is Cushty n Retro and we love all things old skool and when we say anything - we mean anything!  From vintage furniture and memorabilia to 70's games, skateboards and early 80's bikes, especially bmx's.  On the furniture side we have a large selection of 1960/70's G Plan teak furniture, a lovely selection of vintage teak sideboards in good condition ready for sale now. 

We find the oddest things in the weirdest of places and meet plenty of colourful characters along the way.  I suppose we are lucky to not only work for ourselves but work doing something we love on a daily basis.  Just over a year ago we formed Cushty n Retro and decided to sell our 'finds' to others who also have a love of the retro vibe. 
We are constantly searching for new stock so if you are having a clear out, whether its your loft, garage, house or spare room - give us a call if you think you may have something that will be of interest!

Having only had 10 hours sleep in the last 3 days - I think I'll leave our introduction at that for now and try and get some sleep before we start looking for more lost treasures tomorrow!
